The GLTA Master’s Series Tournaments for 2021/2022 Have Been Determined

Masters Series Tournaments hold an important place in GLTA’s Tournament Calendar. Playing at a Master’s Series tournaments is an opportunity for players to earn double championship points. This makes these tournaments very popular with players and an early registration is advisable – the places tend to sell out fast.

The GLTA Board has determined the Master’s Series Tournaments for 2021/2022. In making the decision the Board considers the latest survey results of the tournaments and also takes into account which tournaments are going to have celebratory editions. Additionally, this time the list includes a few tournaments that were selected for 2019/2020 but did not take place or forfeited their status due to the pandemic.

Altogether there will be 12 Masters Series Tournaments in 2021/ 2022 of which 5 will take place in European, 5 in North America and 2 in Australia.


The GLTA Master’s Series Tournaments in 2021/ 2022 are:

  4. Canadian Gay Open presented by Babolat, 21 – 23.05 2022, Toronto, Canada
  5. Motor City Tennis Classic, 10 – 12.06 2022, Southfield, MI, USA
  6. Madrid Tennis Open XX Anniversary, 29 – 31.07 2022, Madrid, Spain
  7. Zurich Rainbow Open 22, 19 – 21.08 2022, Zurich, Switzerland
  8. The Peach International Tennis Championships, 3-5.09 2022, Atlanta, GA, USA
  9. Pinkster Tournament, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 03 – 06.06 2022, Amsterdam, Netherlands
  10. Alegria Open, Rotterdam, Netherlands
  11. Gran Canaria Open, Maspalomas, Spain
  12. Second City Tennis Classic, Chicago, USA

Some of these tournaments already have the registration open and some are not in the calendar yet. Keep checking the tournament calendar – you will easily spot all the Master’s Series Events as they are marked with a red flag.
