Tallinn Colour Games 2023 – Unmissable and Ever-So Delightful

Tallinn Colour Games 2023 will be held from August 25 to August 27, 2023, in the charming, historic Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The registration is open and while many have already registered, there is still room for more participants.

Tallinn is a wonderful travel destination

Tallinn is an ideal travel destination, especially in August. The old town, which is a UNSECO heritage site, has a lot of history, but beyond the ancient walls there’s a lot more discover! We are talking about cool cafes, hipster quarters and the fantastic food scene that does not disappoint.

The restaurants in Tallinn are diverse and ever evolving. The town is not just one of the most intriguing food cities you’ll visit, it’s also extraordinarily good value. From Nordic-inspired fine dining restaurants to cozy neighborhood wine bars and cuisines of all kinds, Tallinn offers a unique culinary experience that won’t leave your wallet weeping.

The 2nd edition of Tallinn Colour Games

Tallinn Colour Games will be held at Tallink Tennis Center, a modern venue that is perfect for organizing tennis tournaments. Glen De Jong and Anton Martin, the tournament directors of the Colour Games have this to say about the venue:

“The modern venue has 20 hard courts: 14 indoors and 6 outdoors. Between and after the matches, players can relax in the sauna (a very Estonian thing to do). There will be a pop-up café. Tallink tennis center is easily accessible by public transportation, no matter where you stay in Tallinn.”

With 35 players already registered, we asked Anton and Glenn how many participants they would like to have. “With 20 courts at our disposal, we could have a rather large number of players but the optimal number for us would be around 80 participants like last time. This makes it possible for us to give everyone a great experience and the personal attention our players deserve.”

We also asked about the tournament dinner, which we were assured, was going to be held in the Medieval part of Tallinn, offering the best flavors of Estonian cuisine.

Argo Taur, a GLTA player from Estonia also said a few words about the night life in Tallinn: “The night life in Tallinn is a well-kept secret but you can actually find all types of entertainment here. There are plenty of cute Estonian boys and several hidden gems to uncover – Tallinn will not disappoint.”

Jüri Vohta, Estonia: “The 1st edition of Tallinn Colour Games was very well organized – everything ran like a well-oiled machine. The Tallink tennis center is a little away from the city center, but the courts are exceptional. We liked the choice of the restaurant for the official dinner and since Tallinn is not a huge city, I believe people enjoyed discovering the town when they were not playing tennis. I hope this year’s tournament is going to be just as much fun and hopefully there will be a lot of participants because Tallinn is always a good idea!”

Rowen D’Souza, Australia: “I saw the first GLTA Tournament in Tallinn in 2019. The dedication of the tournament team made sure it was an amazing event. It is inspiring to see the GLTA spread its wings to new countries and create spaces for our community to participate in a safe and welcoming environment. Tallinn is a great event and I hope it continues for many years to come!”
