GLTA Appoints Jessica Chalmers to Board of Directors
Pride Tennis Worldwide, Inc. (GLTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Chalmers to its Board of Directors. The appointment fills a recent vacancy on the board.
The GLTA Board received statements of interest from seven qualified candidates. The board thanks all candidates for their time and interest in serving the GLTA community.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jess to the GLTA Board of Directors,” said Matt Feinberg, President and CEO. “Jessica’s experience and passion for the GLTA, including her work to co-found and direct the Amazon Women’s Tennis Open this past year, make her a valuable addition to our team. As a resident of Sydney, Australia, Jessica will represent the APAC region, and this representation is important to the board. We are confident that she will make significant contributions to the organization.”
In her statement of interest, Chalmers highlighted her experience as Club Secretary and Treasurer of Amazon Women’s Tennis, where she helped the club incorporate, secure grants, and develop relationships with Tennis NSW, the GLTA, and other clubs. She also emphasized her budgeting, analytics, and problem-solving skills, which she has gained from 15 years as a mechanical project engineer. Chalmers also expressed a desire to fill the Director of Members and Players position, increase engagement by helping members provide high-quality experiences for their players, and support the APAC region.
Jessica will fill the Board vacancy for the remainder of 2025. The remaining term for the position (through December 2027) will be filled by a special election to take place later this year. The GLTA encourages all interested candidates to consider running for the Board of Directors again in the fall election.
