Congratulations to 2024 GLTA World Champions!
The 2024 GLTA World Tour Championships are over, and we would like to thank all those who participated and congratulate all out Champions and finalists.
It was the first time the event was held in Melbourne, Australia and we are very happy that so many people from all over the world accepted the invitation. With 89 players from around 28 countries, there were a lot of challenging matches for all and the fights for the title were tough.
The Championships are an invite only event and give the players who have performed well throughout the calendar year an opportunity to play for a world title. In 2024 the Championships were played at Royal Park Tennis Club in Parkville Melbourne. With appearances from Millie Minogue and an awards ceremony hosted by Dolly Diamond, there was almost as much excitement off court as there was on the clay.
With the new Championship ranking year well underway (it runs from November to October with invites going out shortly after the final places are determined) we look forward to the World Tour Championships in early 2025. The event is rotated between continents, and it will be the turn of the Americas to host next years event so look out for the location announced mid-year along with the GLTA Master Series events for 2025.
We congratulate our Finalists and celebrate our World Champions.
