Whether you’re an experienced player or a beginner, our tournament is open to all skill levels, and our focus is to always create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
In addition to participating in the tournament, players can enjoy São Paulo’s vibrant culture and commitment to inclusion. The tournament will take place on the same weekend as São Paulo’s LQBTQIAP+ Pride Parade, which is South America’s largest pride event and one of the biggest in the world, bringing millions of people together in the streets every year.
Paulista Avenue is one of the most important and biggest locations of São Paulo, and is the meeting point of the city’s LGBTQIAP+ Pride Parade. The event receives thousands of tourists every year, and is supported by federal and city governments.
Throughout the years, the city of São Paulo has developed a thriving cultural scene, offering a wide range of attractions and events. Home to iconic places, such as the Art Museum of São Paulo (Museu de Arte de São Paulo – Masp), the Pinacoteca, the oldest art museum in the city, and the Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo is also known for its vibrant nightlife, in which tourists can enjoy an incredible variety of restaurants, bars and clubs. The 2024 GLTA edition of the tournament will also be part of the Jogos da Diversidade (Diversity Games), an event that will bring together LGBTQIAP+ people from many sports, such as volleyball, soccer, rugby and, of course, tennis.
The Brazilian LGBTQIAP+ tennis community organized their inaugural event in June 2023. With nearly 50 players competing in all levels, from beginner to experienced, the event was a huge success. The upcoming GLTA scheduled for 2024 will bring even more people together, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
