MIXED DOUBLES – A New Championship Event in 2021
GLTA is very happy to announce that there will be a new event included at the World Tour Championships in 2021 – the MIXED DOUBLES.
Male and female players will be competing as individual double players throughout the eligibility period (1 November until 31 October of the following year) to qualify for this competition. It is not necessary to play with the same partner. The top 4 male and female players in each division (Open, A, B, C and D mixed doubles) will be invited to participate first.
All GLTA members who play mixed doubles at a minimum of 2 tournaments during the eligibility period (1 November to 31 October of the following year) are eligible to qualify. There is currently no championship point threshold but the more points you collect the better your chances to get an invite.
Your GLTA Championship rank is completely separate from the GLTA ranking system and depends on how many championship points you have accumulated during the eligibility period.
