Join us on the final weekend of September! This event was a GLTA Masters tournament in 2009, when we saw 163 players from around the nation and world come to Indy. The Indy Classic offers play for all skill levels—Open, A, B, C, Din singles and doubles. Our main site, West Indy Racquet Club, is very inclusive and LGBT friendly, with six indoor and six outdoor courts, all blue and newly resurfaced. Locker rooms, showers, indoor lounge, racquet stringing, massages, visiting food trucks, complimentary water, Gatorade/Powerade for purchase, vending machines, and more.

Match Format:

All main-draw matches in singles and doubles are full best-of-3 sets. Singles consolation draws feature pro-set matches (first to 8 games) until the finals, which are full best-of-3 encounters. USTA/GLTA Rules and Procedures will be used. Players must report to the tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to match times. Once a match is called for play by the tourney desk attendant, the 15-minute default rule will apply. A five-minute warm-up may be timed for all matches by an event rep. Main-draw match format is subject to change due to inclement weather that catalyzes the need to pare down the schedule to keep the proceedings moving fluidly.

To ensure that matches start as close to their assigned time as possible, 3rd sets that begin after 2 hours of play may be played as a match tiebreaker rather than a full set.
