Australasian Gay & Lesbian Open 2014
The Australasian Gay & Lesbian Open (AGLO) is being held in February 2014 in Sydney during the world famous Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival. 2014 also marks the 25th Anniversary of the first Mardi Gras Championships in 1989.
A player may enter a maximum of two events only limited to the combination of 1 x Singles or 1 x Doubles or 1 x Mixed doubles.
Player limits per grade:
Open Singles (max 24 players)
A, B & C Singles (max 32 players)
D Singles (max 16 players)
All Doubles – Open, A, B, C & D events will have a max of 16 teams
All Women’s’ event have a max of 16 players (singles) or 16 teams (doubles)
All over 40’s events have a max of 16 players
Fees AUD$50 first event & AUD$30 second event.
The AGLO Players' Party is sceduled for Saturday 15 February and is included in your entry fee.
So enter early to avoid disappointment of missing out.

All matches up to the finals will be the best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set being a super tie break (first to 10 with a 2 point advantage). The first two sets are normal first to 6 sets with a tiebreak at 6-6. All final matches (time permitting) will be the best of 3 tie break sets.
If round-robin events are conducted they will be played as one (1) super-set, first to eight (8) with a two (2) game advantage with a tie break played at 8-8.
The tournament is a knockout event with all players losing in the first round automatically being placed into a Consolation Draw.
